Sri Lanka maintain unbeaten record to beat Singapore

Sri Lanka Netball team continued their winning streak form beating defending runners up Singapore 67/49 yesterday at the Asian Netball Championship match in Singapore.

Sri Lanka team led by Gayanjali Amarawansa made a good fight while most of the spectators from Singapore were present to give a massive cheer support. But Lankan lasses came back with good fighting spirit to win the game and maintain their unbeaten record.

Sri Lanka took an early lead to finish 15/11 in the first quarter and in the second quarter too Sri Lanka team dominated the game and had a clear lead with 36/26.

The third quarter saw once again Sri Lanka winning 52/38 and in the final quarter Sri Lankan made a superb display to win the game 67/49.

In fact this was a good move as Sri Lankan lasses made a comfortable lead of 18 points to beat Singapore. They were in top of the group. Today Sri Lanka will meet their last game before the final against Hong Kong.

Sri Lanka bet India, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore to reach this level once again heading for the final which scheduled to be held on September 11 at the same venue in Singapore.
