Rs. 46.5 million Mahajana Sampatha Super Prize goes to Kotahena

The winner of the Super Prize of the Mahajana Sampatha from the National Lotteries Board of over Rs. 46.5 million this time around is from Kotahena. The Super Prize was awarded following the 4,869th Mahajana Sampatha draw held on September 5.The winning ticket was sold by Kotahena Sales Representative A. I. K. Ratnayake. The Mahajana Sampatha lottery from the National Lotteries Board is the country’s first, and longest running lottery ticket. Throughout its over 50-year history, the Mahajana Sampatha lottery, which has been a boon to the public, has enhanced the lives of lucky winners across the island. The 234 draws held in 2022 have produced seven Super Prize winners, 245, 2 million rupee winners and 2,302 Rs.100,000 plus winners.
