Sri Lanka enter semis defeating Hong Kong

Sri Lankan Netball team entered the semi final with an unbeaten record when they recorded 62-51 victory over Hong Kong in their last second round match of the Asian Netball championship played in Singapore yesterday.

Sri Lankan lasses led by Gayanjali Amarawansa played superb game to finish four quarters with a clear lead. The score read 20-9, 37-22, 48-38 and 62-51 to win the Hong Kong game which gave big boost to us, said skipper Gayanjali Amarawansa the center player who handle the game pretty well.

Sri Lanka will meet Hong Kong once again at the semi final while other semi final most probably will play between Singapore and Malaysia.

Both are scheduled to be played on Saturday (10) followed by the grand final on Sunday 11 at the same venue.
