Appropriation (Amendment) Bill endorsed

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena yesterday endorsed the certificate on the Appropriation (Amendment) Bill to amend the Appropriation Act No. 30 of 2021.

Thus, this Bill will come into force as the Appropriation (Amendment) Act No. 21 of 2022 effect from yesterday.

The Third Reading of the Appropriation (Amendment) Bill to amend the Appropriation Act No. 30 of 2021 was passed in Parliament on September 2 without a vote and the Second Reading of the Bill was passed by a majority of 115 votes in Parliament.
