Condor adds Sri Lanka and the Maldives for scheduled services

Condor a renowned German leisure carrier that operates scheduled services to holiday destinations worldwide strengthens its footprint in the South Asian region by adding Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Their schedule includes routes from the Mediterranean, Canary Islands, Egypt, Morocco, the Americas (North America from Alaska to the East Coast, Central America and the Caribbean), Africa (Eastern and Southern Africa) and the Indian Ocean. The carrier’s winter routes connect Frankfurt (FRA) non-stop with Male (MLE) with regularly scheduled flights. The airline has been on a growth trajectory for the past few years, with sixteen brand new Airbus A330-900neo aircraft scheduled to be included in the fleet of Condor in the fall of 2022.

Condor is represented in Sri Lanka and The Maldives by Hayleys Aviation, a subsidiary of the blue-chip multinational conglomerate Hayleys PLC. Hayleys Aviation is a leading General Sales Agent (GSA) company in Sri Lanka, representing some of the world’s premier Passenger and Cargo Airlines in Sri Lanka and the Maldives for over two decades.

“With the announcement of Condor´s increasing flight plan to numerous destinations in the Indian Ocean and other countries, the partnership with Hayleys was the next logical step for us. The new cooperation between our two brands will allow us to garner new segments and explore greater commercial opportunities for our business in Asia,” stated Condor Head of Sales for Overseas Markets Carsten Sasse.

Hayleys Aviation Director/Chief Executive Officer Gerard Victoria commenting on the partnership with Condor stated, “We are deeply honoured that Condor has selected Hayleys Aviation as their General Sales Agent in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. We have always looked at ways and means of expanding the aviation industry of Sri Lanka, and this partnership comes at a strategic phase as both brands are expanding beyond the horizon.”
