U. S. Ambassador calls on State Tourism Minister

Tourism State Minister Diana Gamage following her appointment was called on by U. S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung at her Residence to wish her and pledge the fullest support from the USA to develop the tourism sector in Sri Lanka.

Further, several other Embassies and High Commissions have sent congratulatory messages to the newly appointed State Minister extending their support to develop this important sector of Sri Lanka, especially in this crucial economic downturn.

Earlier Diana Gamage was the State Transport Minister. She oversaw the Registrar of Motor Vehicles (RMV), Sri Lanka Transport Board (commonly known as CTB), National Transport Medical Institute (NTMI), and Lakdiva Engineering amongst others.
