Doctor in alleged sexual abuse case granted bail

The Galle Magistrate’s Court ordered the release of the doctor who allegedly sexually abused a 15-year-old girl at the Galle Karapitiya Hospital on a personal bail of Rs.300,000.

Police said that the Court also ordered the doctor to appear before the Court on September 14.

The doctor had rejected the allegations when questioned by the Police. Police say that this doctor works in the Radiology Department of the Karapitiya Hospital. According to the complaint received by the Police, the incident took place on the 8th of this month in the radiology department of the hospital.
