NHDA officials of Kalutara branch burn files

Several officials of the Kalutara District Office of the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA) who were allegedly involved embezzling money from funds allocated for low-income earners housing loans are said to have burnt a large number of files related to debt recovery.

They had allegedly done this on the pretext of engaging in a shramadana in the office premises without the permission of relevant authorities.
