Lotus Tower generates Rs. 2.1 Mn in income on first day

The Lotus Tower, which is considered to be the tallest tower in South Asia, has generated an income of Rs. 2.1 million during the first day of its opening to the public.

Lotus Tower Private Company Chief Executive Officer Major General (Retd) Prasad Samarasinghe said the income has been generated not only from the sale of tickets but from the provision of service to each institution at the Lotus Tower premises.

He told the “Dinamina” that the income has been generated not only from the sale of brochures but also from the provision of services to each institution located in Lotus Tower. “2612 persons had visited the tower during the first day. The Lotus Tower will be open to the public from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. during week days. It is open for the foreign nationals too,” an official said.
