Former Coordinating Secretary to the State Transport Ministry, Dr. Arosha Fernando has been appointed as the new Coordinating Secretary to the State Tourism Ministry on top of the number of high posts currently being held by him.
Dr. Arosha who has six University Degrees from Australia - two Bachelor’s degrees, three Masters degrees and a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA), the only person to have such kind of highest number of academic qualifications as a Sri Lankan is expected to play a vital role in developing the tourism sector in Sri Lanka in this crucial hour.
He was a Senior Member of the Judge Panel and the Organising Committee of ‘Mrs Tourism Sri Lanka 2022’ global Pageant which was successfully concluded recently at the Nelum Pokuna Auditorium.
Dr. Arosha who has 28 years of senior management experience in local and international business field and is currently the Chairman of 5 other Companies in Sri Lanka as well as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the third international airline in Sri Lanka, Fly Lankan Airlines.
