Suspect held for possession of Gaja Muthu

Special Task Force (STF) officers arrested an individual for possession of eight elephant pearls (gaja muthu), worth over Rs. 10,000,000, during a search operation conducted in Magala North, at Uragasmanhandiya in the Elpitiya area, on September 23, an STF media officer told the Daily News yesterday (25).

The suspect, aged 43, was a resident of Magala North, Uragasmanhandiya.
