Navy Commander’s father passes away

U. Sirisoma (88), husband of late Kalyani Sirisoma and father of Navy Commander Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, passed away yesterday. Born in 1934 in Kandy, he joined Sri Lanka Police Department on February 13, 1955. Late U. Sirisoma had served in a number of areas in the island over 36 years and finally retired from service on April 1, 1991, as a Sub Inspector of Police. His remains are now lying at a private Funeral Parlour in Borella and the funeral takes place at Borella Cemetery on Saturday December 3, 2022 at 4.00 p.m.
