Mount Lavinia hotel to open end year

Mount Lavinia hotel is planning to open doors again towards the end of the festive season for its loyal patrons having supported the country’s health sector which was overwhelmed during the pandemic.

“It functioned as intermediary care center and now after a soft refurbishment we are back in business shortly,” said Chairman Sanath Ukwatte.

As the room business for the forthcoming winter season is still well below expectations we will be operating around 60-100 rooms initially. However, all our F&B outlets including function rooms will be in full operation,”

“Our sister hotel club Bentota is currently in operation and is a popular place for Russian, Indian and German visitors,” he said.
