Fifteen passengers were admitted to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital when a bus load of pilgrims returning from Kataragama on the Southern Expressway skidded off the road and fell into a ditch yesterday morning.
Police said that injured are residents of Meegahathenna, Matugama. Police suspect that the driver of the bus had fallen asleep.Three children are among the injured.Southern Expressway police station at Pinnaduwa Interchange are conducting further investigations.
