Three Indian nationals have been injured in a fight between two groups during a New Year’s Eve party at a tourist hotel in Weligama Pelena.
They were admitted to the Matara General Hospital. Weligama Police have arrested a resident of Wijekumaratunga Mawatha in Peleana in connection with this assault. Police say he is 31 years old.
The police say that these three Indians and the suspect run a water sports club and the conflict has arisen during the party due to a dispute related to that.
