Twelve year old up and coming Volleyball player. Member of the All Island under 13 DSI Super Sport Champion Team 2022.
Member of the Puttalam District Schools under 13 champion team and All Island Inter Schools DSI under 13 Runner up team and an athlete Hiruja Dinsara Silva has brought honour and glory to his alma mater Dhammissara MahaVidyalaya with his deeds in the field of Volleyball.
Hiruja who hails from Thabbowa Nattandiya was born on 10th September 2010 and admitted to his present school in 2016.
His Parents former Sailing Boat team Captain of the Sri Lanka Navy Tusitha Sanjeeva Kumara Silva and Niluka Crishanthi Rupasinghe noticing their sons ability in volleyball handed over their son to the school Volleyball Coaches Haritha Gihan and KeerthiJayasekera in 2018 and Hiruja's first attempt was in 2019 for the All Island Schools under eleven tournament and his team emerged as runner up and in 2020 there was no sports activities in 2020 due to Coronavirus and in 2021 at the Inter House under 13 tournament his team won the _ championship and in 2022 participating in ten matches in the All Island DSI under 13:tourney and they were unbeaten and qualified for the finals which was held in December 2022.
In addition in 2018 he participated in the under 9 Chess Competition at the School Inter House Tournament.
