New Excise Commissioner General assumes duties

New Commissioner General of Excise Saman Jayasinghe assumed duties at his office in Rajagiriya on Monday (2).

He is a Supra Grade officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service and held the position of Additional Director General of the Department of State Owned Enterprises under the Finance Ministry before being appointed as the Excise Commissioner General.

Jayasinghe holds a degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and post-graduate degree from the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA).
