One Independent Group placed deposits for the Bandarawela Municipal Council in the Badulla District for the Local Government election yesterday, the very first day notice on calling nominations for LG election was announced. Political parties and independent groups will be allowed to place deposits for the election from 8.30 a.m. to 4.15 p.m. till January 19 except on January 6, 8 and 15. The last day to place deposits is January 20, on which day, the deposits can only be placed until 12 noon.
