Ranjan Madugalle's father passes away

Lionel Madugalle (99) the father of former National skipper and present ICC chief match referee Ranjan Madugalle passed away and his funeral was held yesterday (6) at the General Cemetery Borella

Lionel Madugalle was Secretary to the Sports Ministry from 1970 to 1977 and rendered invaluable service to promote sports under the guidance of then Sports Minister K. B. Ratnayake. (D.R.)
