Havelock SC and Army SC will resume the second half of their battle at Ratmalana today, after the scheduled Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament game between the two teams had to be suspended due to bad weather in Panagoda on Saturday.
Havelock SC will start the second half of this rain-interrupted game with a clear lead of 17-8 and are looking to register their third victory of the SLR Nippon Paint League Rugby Tournament.
The confrontation between Havelock SC and Army SC was also the inaugural fixture at the new Panagoda Army Grounds, but the second half proved to be a damper as the match officials had no hesitation to call off the game due to lightning and heavy rain.
Under the Nippon Paint Rugby League rules, the suspended match needs to restart within 48 hours and both teams would line-up for the resumption of the last 40 minutes of play under the supervision of the same match officials.
The Havies have already scored two tries through flanker Christian De Lile and prop forward Niwanka Prasad with fly half Sandesh Jayawickrema converting both tries while Mithun Hapugoda put over the penalty.
Army SC scored their solitary try through Nalan Premaratne after Isuru Medagedera had opened the scoring with a penalty.
