Sri Lankan stickers face Hong Kong today

Sri Lanka after conceding 21 goals from their opening two matches will look to bounce back when they take on Hong Kong in their 2022 Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) Men’s Junior Hockey Tournament Group ‘B’ third and final preliminary round game in Muscat, Oman today.

The Sri Lankan stickers have already suffered two heavy defeats at the hands of Uzbekistan (3-7) and Bangladesh (0-14) and need to win today’s game by a big margin to keep their hopes alive of qualifying for the semi-finals. Oman, Thailand, Chinese Taipei and Indonesia are the teams vying for honours in Group ‘A’ with the top four teams qualifying for the Asia Cup Junior Hockey Tournament.

The tournament conducted by the AHF will conclude on January 12 with eight countries vying for honours.
