The public services of the Merchant Shipping Secretariat under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Aviation have been temporarily suspended. The Merchant Shipping Secretariat office located on the 1st Floor, Bristol Building, 43-48, York Street, Colombo 01 has to be moved from the current building premises to a new location due to an urgent need.
It is stated in the announcement issued by that office that it has been decided to temporarily suspend services provided to the public from today (10) 2023.01 up to 12 days. Therefore, the clients have been informed not to visit the merchant shipping secretariat office on these mentioned dates. It has also been further informed that the online services will be maintained in the same way and information about these services can be obtained by visiting the website www.dgshipping.gov.lk.
