Campaign to promote Sri Lanka in Latin America

As a part of the ongoing publicity campaign of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Brazil ‘Promote Sri Lanka in Latin America’, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Brazil, Sumith Dassanayake had a TV interview with the renowned Brazilian presenter Wiliam e o Mundo.

During the 30-minute-long airtime, the Ambassador explained the diversity and the uniqueness of Sri Lanka as an island nation.

Ambassador Dassanayake also highlighted the availability of opportunities in Sri Lanka for Brazilians and South Americans in the areas of trade, tourism and investment with special reference to Colombo Port City project.

Special focus was drawn to the Ceylon Tea industry and a demonstration was included on how to prepare a cup of Ceylon tea.

Pictures of tourist sites in Sri Lanka and varieties of Ceylon tea samples representing the geographical elevations in Sri Lanka – Nuwara Eliya, Uda Pussellawa, Dimbula, Uva, Kandy, Sabaragamuwa and Ruhuna, etc., were also included in the video.
