Havelock SC reduced the deficit to just four points from the table leaders Kandy SC after the completion of the fourth week of matches in the 2022/23 SLR Nippon Paint Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament.

The Havies were able to beat Army SC 31-15, with a bonus point in their previous outing, which went into two days while Kandy SC struggled once again to have the better of Navy SC 21-18 at the Nittawela Stadium.

Havelock SC have also successfully reduced the gap in terms of the number of tries scored between the two teams and now they are trailing by just one try having crossed the whitewash on 15 occasions.

Meanwhile, CR and FC are in third place after they failed to collect a bonus point during their 27-19 victory over CH and FC at the Racecourse Grounds in Colombo last week.

CH and FC and Army SC occupy the fourth and fifth place in the points table with 10 points each followed by Air Force SC (nine points), Navy SC (six points) and Police SC (six points) respectively.
