Uncontested Kaushalya Navaratne elected BASL President

Senior Attorney Kaushalya Navaratne has been elected uncontested as the new President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) for 2023/2024. Meanwhile,  Attorney Isuru Balapatabendi has been elected uncontested as the BASL Secretary. Nominations for the President and Secretary of BASL were handed over yesterday and Navaratne was the only candidate nominated for the post of the President while Isuru Balapatabendi was the only candidate nominated for the post of Secretary.

Accordingly, both candidates were elected uncontested as the President and Secretary of the BASL for 2023/2024.
