CR and FC will face a tough challenge from Air Force SC when they clash in a vital SLR Nippon Paint Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament first-round fixture at Ratmalana on Sunday. The kick-off is at 4.00 p.m.
CR and FC are currently in third place in the points table with three wins and one defeat while Air Force SC are in sixth place having recorded just a solitary victory from their four outings.
However, Air Force SC have looked unpredictable this season and have always caused some difficulties to their opponents having already proved it against the CH and FC, Havelock SC and Kandy SC respectively.
CR and FC, of course, are hoping to record their third successive victory in the tournament following their success against Police SC (36-19) and CH and FC (27-19) respectively.
However, the last time when the two teams met in 2022, the Airmen were able to record a stunning 19-11 victory at Longden Place with fly half Nuwan Perera turning out to be the match winner while putting over four penalties and converting one try.
