With the government taking a policy decision to expand on solar and make solar 70% of the country’s energy source in 2030 they now need to make provisions that are practical for people to come and invest in commercial or solar projects here with ease so the capital can flow in, asserted Dakshitha de Silva Managing Director ADS Solar, the official Energy Saving Partner of INCO 2023.
De Silva who arrived from the USA to participate in the event said their vision was to bring affordable and dependable solar products and expand on solar revolution here and make people energy self-sufficient and make their lives improve.
He said by introducing solar the people will not have to worry about the power crisis. “Overall my vision is a green vision to make the country green and bring in affordable solar solutions,” he said.
De Silva said although solar has been an expensive product in the past they have done extensive research looking at a few products and seen the results over the past 20 years and very carefully selected a few that can be promoted and they are working with those manufacturers to get a product that is more suitable to Sri Lanka and one that will be user-friendly and even the consumer will be able to understand how it works and do its repairs. “
“Our products have been selected because they give the best efficiency of 25% as a baseline and our solar panels give good efficiency and our inverters are the same. End of the day the products that we have picked and marketed are within the top five solar manufacturers , and we stand behind those products and its guarantee and we want to give the best customer experience, he added.
