In the wake of the Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) Leader Mavai Senadiraja announcing that the party will contest separately at the upcoming Local Government poll, the other constituent parties of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) have decided to form a separate alliance to contest the upcoming poll LG poll.
Several parties affiliated to the Tamil National Alliance on Saturday came to an agreement to form the new alliance.
The alliance has decided to contest in the next Local Government election under the banner of the Democratic Tamil National Alliance.
The alliance consists of Tamil Eelam Liberation Organisation (TELO), People’s Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE), Eelam People’s Revolutionary Liberation Front (EPRLF) and several other political parties and organizations.
