The Best Attacker of the all island Sri Lanka DSI under 13 tournament 2022, Captain of the DSI All Island under 13 schools runner up team 2022, Member of the all island runner up under eleven team 2019 member of the under 15 schoolgirls Volley ball squad 2022, Champion athlete of under nine and ten of the school sports meet Nethya Minduli Edirisinghe has brought honour and immense glory for her alma mater Dhammissara National School Nattandiya with her deeds in the field of sports.
Nethya who hails from , Nattandiya was born on 3rd April 2010 and admitted to her present school in 2016. When Nethya in grade four she participated for the under nine age category for the school inter house sports meet and swept the board in 100, Long Jump and High Jump and adjudged as the school under nine champion and in the following year too she repeated the same performances and became the under ten champion.
Though she became the school athletic champion her forte was Volleyball and noticing her talents for Volleyball her Parents Gamini Edirisinghe and Gangani Manorika Herath encouraged their daughter to take up to Volleyball and she came under HasithaDishan and Keerthi Jayasekera. In 2019 she commenced as a passer and her team swept the board at the DSI All Island.
District teams and Provincial teams and they clinched the trophies and in 2019 DSI under eleven all island tournament they emerged Runner up and in 2022 captaining her school under 13 team they were the all island runners up and Nethya carried away the All Island Best Attackers Award and her Coaches were Mrs.Sajeevani Femando and Charles Thilakaratne and presently she is in the under 15 school volleyball squad.
