Kandy guard choked to death

Investigations have revealed that the 27-year-old man who was employed as a security guard at Kandy St. Sylvester’s College Sports Complex, was beaten in the head and face and choked to death by stuffing clothes into his mouth.

Police said that the post-mortem report on the body stated the death has been caused by the blocking of his trachea due to stuffing of pieces of cloth into his mouth. Police are yet to unravel as to why he was murdered.

Police said that there were some shoes in the room where the murder took place and it is suspected that the killers hit his head and face with them.

Nobody has been arrested in connection with the murder. Kandy police are conducting investigations.
