Kegalu Vidyalaya excels in hockey

Kegalu Vidyalaya stickers emerged runner-up in the under-16 Division 'B' inter-school boys' hockey championship which was concluded at the Rangiri Dambulla stadium recently. The tournament was conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association. Kegalu Vidyalaya hockey team was greatly supported by its principal Rohan Hemantha, Deputy principal W.A. Herath Bandara, coach Ishara Kulathunga, Assistant coaches Layan Hasaranga Gunaratne and Nimantha Mapalana. 

The teacher in charge of hockey Shalika Kularatne said it is for the big support given by the principal, staff, non academic staff, parents and the dedication of players brought them this results. 

A felicitation ceremony was held at the school as a recognition of this achievement.
