Four arrested at BIA with forged Polish visas

Four people including a woman were arrested on Wednesday by the officers of the airport unit of the Criminal Investigation Department.

They had arrived at the KatunayakeBandaranaike International Airport to travel to Poland via Doha Qatar with forged Polish visas. Those who were arrested thus were residents of Kilinochchi, Jaffna and Rajagiriya. Police said they were aged between 21 and 37 years.

Investigations have revealed that a group of human traffickers had obtained money from these four persons and told them that they were being sent to Poland for jobs, legally. The Criminal Investigation Department said that investigations are being carried out in order to arrest these fraudsters.
