Medihelp Hospitals expands footprint to Gampaha

Medihelp Hospitals, recently commenced operations at its new healthcare facility in historically significant city of Kelaniya marking its entry to the Gampaha District. With its easily accessible, new address at Kandy Road Kelaniya the fully fitted primary care centre will cater to the community of Kelaniya and surrounding towns with a broad scope of affordable, high quality healthcare services offered by an experienced qualified team of consultants and healthcare professionals.

The ceremonial opening which, was held on January 21, 2023, was attended by Prof. Janaki Hewavisenthi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine University of Kelaniya, the board of directors, top management of Medihelp Hospitals along with a host of distinguished invitees and members of staff. The new four-storey facility houses a fully fitted OPD, ETU, laboratory, pharmacy, and dental clinic as well as facilities and equipment to accommodate x-rays, US Scans, Echocardiography, physiotherapy optometry series and specialist consultations. It is complete with spacious, modern waiting areas and car park accommodating over 60 vehicles.

Commenting on the recent opening, Medihelp Hospitals Chairman Leslie Wijesiriwardana stated. “We are delighted to step into the Gampaha District with our new facility in Kelania, which is a historically geographically significant city in Sri Lanka. Marking the opening of our 15th branch in such a notable location in a privilege.
