‘SIRIMAVO’ wins best documentary at Dhaka Film Festival

Anoma Rajakaruna, who won the award for the best documentary film in the women’s category at the 21st Dhaka International Film Festival, arrived at the Katunayake Airport yesterday evening. The award winning documentary film ‘Our Mother, Grandmother, Prime Minister: SIRIMAVO’ is based on the life of the late Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike. The film had been produced to coincide with the late Prime Minister’s centenary birth anniversary in 2016. The film was released in early 2023.
