Arrest warrant against two lawyers in Medawachchiya

Medawachchiya Magistrate Priyantha Halyala has issued arrest warrants through Anuradhapura SSP Jayantha Pushpakumara on two lawyers who had obstructed the duties of the Registrar and the Fiscal Officer of the Medawachchiya Magistrate’s Court.

The Magistrate made this order after taking a B report filed by the Medawachchiya OIC into consideration.

These two lawyers had allegedly obstructed the duties of the Registrar and Fiscal Officer when they went to hand over the ownership of a building and a land at Ikirigolla in Rambewa on a court order.

The Medawachchiya OIC in the B report noted that these two lawyers threatened the Registrar and the Fiscal Officer when they arrived at the place with police officials.
