Suspect in Colombo National Museum theft further remanded

Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya further remanded till September 19 the suspect held in connection with the theft of artifacts at the Colombo National Museum in 2012.

The suspect was re-remanded as the Court had not yet received from the Attorney General his advise on how to proceed with the case.

Six other suspects were previously arrested in relation to the case but released on bail.
