Nalanda in command against Thurstan

Nalanda College were in command in their ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 19 division 1 inter schools 2-day cricket quarterfinal match against Thurstan College at Mt. Lavinia yesterday.

Nalanda invited to bat first rattled up 329 for 7 wickets in 93.5 overs at close of day one with skipper Lakshitha Rasanjana scoring 87, his deputy Avishka Perera 84 and Chamindu Wijesinghe 62. Rasanjana passed 1000 runs for the season during his innings. The match will be continued today on day two.
