Ranjan’s phone recordings to be given to MPs

The House has decided to release seven call recordings recently submitted to Parliament by MP Ranjan Ramanayake. Prior to the release, the recordings will be edited for indecent language and any matters concerning the national security.  The decision was taken at the Party Leaders’ meeting today.

Accordingly, relevant technical officers will go through the call recordings, edit them and forward them back to the Speaker who will then release these recordings. Members of Parliament are able to access these call recordings on release.
