13 former ministers still occupying official houses

It emerged today that 13 former Cabinet Ministers of the Good Governance Government who are yet to vacate their official residences are to be sued soon.

The Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs and Local
Government and Provincial Councils is taking measures to sue these former ministers who deliberately avoid handing the official residences despite the Government's written notices.

These former Ministers lost their Ministerial positions three months ago after the Presidential Election held last November. Since then the former Cabinet Ministers had been instructed three times in writing to hand over their official residences on or before the 20th of February this year as the newly appointed
Cabinet Ministers of the incumbent Government are to be given these official residences.
