SLIC, CPC and Litro Gas provide PPE to Govt staff

The national insurer Sri Lanka Insurance, together with Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and Litro Gas yesterday donated 10,000 liters of surface disinfectants to be distributed among Municipal Councils, Provincial Councils and Town Councils and necessary government entities as a precautionary measure to mitigate the risk of spreading Covid 19.

The surface disinfectants were handed over with the participation, of several ministers and the senior management of Sri Lanka Insurance.

The SLIC donated sanitizer and face masks for 10,400 Economic Development Officers who are in the frontlines providing services to the public. As a strong stakeholder of the government initiatives of combating Covid 19, Sri Lanka Insurance has taken many initiatives in supporting the government efforts and the donations were made due to the importance of following proper hygienic practices to ensure safety and wellbeing of state sector employees and the public. The SLIC also published a poster on some of the recommended hygienic measures.
