Over 200 Sri Lankans stranded in the Middle East because of the Covid-19 pandemic returned yesterday (18) morning.
About 200 migrant workers in Jordan, Qatar and other parts of the region had landed early morning yesterday, Airport sources said.
A SriLankan flight UL 1506 landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) around 6 am and the passengers and the crew were subjected to PCR tests.
Foreign Relations Ministry Secretary Admiral (Rtd.) Jayanath Colambage stated a special flight will be sent to repatriate those stranded in the Middle East and repatriation will continue.
