Four individuals were arrested with a stock of 100kg of Heroin and 100kg of ICE in Thoduwawa in Marawila by the Excise Department who revealed that some of the suspects in the case were residing in Dubai and had been providing information on the distribution and collection of these narcotics.
The arrests of the individuals were coordinated by the Marawila Police Division along with the Excise department. Commissioner General of the Department Ariyadasa Bodaragama said that four vehicles were also seized in the raid which was used to transport the drugs. He further said that the raid was done following a tip-off of information of a stock pile of drugs that were to be distributed.
One of the suspects is said to be from Maharagama while it is reported that the other three were in touch with an individual in Dubai.
The individuals are to be produced before Marawila Magistrate court tomorrow.

The coordinated operation was carried out by the Sri Lanka Navy, Excise Department, police and other intelligence agencies in Thoduwawa area.
