COVID-19 patient, who was under medical care at the National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases (NHRD) in Welisara has escaped last evening (15).
According to reports, the escapee is a 43-year-old from Grandpass.
An operation has been launched to apprehend him, said the police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.
