Under the instructions of Kalmunai South Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Dr. A.R.M. Azmi, schoolchildren have been asked to gather waste material from home and bring to their schools, adding that those who do so would be rewarded.
The MOH has also instructed the school staff on how to dispose of the waste. The programme has been organised with the aim of preventing the spread of dengue in the area. School heads in Kalmunai have commended the MOH’s efforts.
