The Health Ministry issued the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine from Monday onwards to the staff of Aviation and Airports who are among the most vulnerable in the current pandemic.
The first dose of the vaccine was given to the airport staff in February this year and about 10,000 were vaccinated with the first dose. With the commencement of the second dose of vaccination on Monday, it will complete the full vaccination to the staff of BIA, MRIA and Ratmalana Airports and also the staff of Sri Lankan Airlines.
