The isolation of the Palameenmadu, Kallady Velur and Kallady Thiruchchenthur Grama Niladari Divisions in the Batticaloa Manmunai North Secretarial Division has been lifted yesterday, Batticaloa Government Agent K.Karunagaran said.
Meanwhile, five Grama Nilanadari Divisions have been locked down from May 18 including the Sinna Urani and Nochchimunai Grama Niladari Divisions.
The Batticaloa District reported 145 COVID cases on Monday and Eravur 25, Batticaloa 23, Kaluwanchikudy 19, Vellaveli 17, Chenkaladi 14, Kiran 10, Arayampathy 10, Valaichchenai eight, Oddamavadi eight, Koralai Pattu Central eight, Kattankudy two and one from the Tri Forces.
Most COVID cases are those connected with the Batticaloa garment factory.
