A 24-year-old suspect was arrested in Meepawala, Poddala, Galle along with six grams of narcotics, while he was transporting the narcotics on a motorbike bearing a fake number plate during the travel restrictions, Poddala Police said.
The suspect was a resident of Narawala, Akmeemana. The motorcycle belonged to a resident of Rathgama and the suspect is a co-worker of a main drug dealer, Police said.
The drug dealer has deployed young people in drug trafficking, Police said. Poddala and Akmeemana Police are investigating to arrest the drug dealer.
