An extension of five months was granted by the President to the Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) investigating and inquiring into the various allegations and alleged corruption in Sri Lanka Customs to submit its final report.
The Extraordinary Gazette notification under the number 2229/10 pertaining to the decision was published last Saturday (29).
Accordingly, the period of the Commission has been extended to October 31, 2021.
The Commission was scheduled to submit its final report on May 30, 2021. The Commission was appointed on February 24, 2021.
