Six persons in Batticaloa were arrested for selling liquor during travel restrictions, yesterday.
Excise officials made the arrests during raids conducted in Manmunai North, Eravur Pattu, and Eravur. One hundred 180-millilitre arrack bottles and three other toddy bottles were seized in the raids.
The suspects have been released on bail. Investigations are continuing.
