Adverse weather affects over 210,000, ten dead - UPDATE

The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) stated that 10 people died and one reported missing, while 219,027 people were affected in several districts of the country due to adverse weather conditions.
 
Over 735 houses had been fully or partially damaged, while 219,027 people belonging to 54,126 families in eight districts have been affected due to the adverse weather prevailing in several parts of the country, according to the DMC.
 
“People in the Gampaha, Ratnapura, Colombo, Puttalam, Kalutara, Nuwara Eliya, Kegalle and Kandy districts have been affected by the rains, floods, landslides and winds,” the DMC said.

The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) today stated that four people died while 170,022 people were affected in several districts of the country due to adverse weather conditions. “People in the Gampaha, Ratnapura, Colombo, Puttalam, Kalutara, Nuwara Eliya and Kegalle districts have been affected by the rains, floods, landslides and winds,” the DMC said.
